Arlington Arcadia: Harmony in Nature and Design
This lovely home in Arlington was renovated by Aurora Architects + Builders, who requested that our project manager partner with them by providing his design and construction expertise to create a beautiful outdoor space that seamlessly integrated with their home design.
The many aspects of this project were tied together with care. Plants that offer year-round appeal were selected; natural stone retaining walls, custom fencing, and a pool house add structure and privacy. Hidden yet complicated elements are the backbone of this design—for example, dry wells that retain and infiltrate water and a specialized hot water heating system shared by the pool and heated driveway.
We protected a beautiful mature red oak in the middle of the property with preventative pruning and root zone protection. We have continued caring for this property regularly, including pruning, replanting, and updating plantings (especially those eaten by voracious bunnies), weeding, and mulching.
